health & well being

Crispin Walkling-Lea - Great Ormond Street Hospital
Alex Abbey - Cullinan Studio

Venue: The Building Centre, 26 Store Street, London, WC1E 7BT

Time; 7.45 - 10.15am

According to statistics produced by the Mental Health Foundation, 10% of children and young people aged from 5 to 16 have a clinically diagnosable mental health problem and 20% of adolescents may experience a mental health problem in any given year. as well.

Health facilities are seeing long wait times for appointments, a lack of behavioural and mental health service providers, and no capacity for outpatient care. For education facilities how do we design spaces which can form a positive emotional connection and enjoyable learning environment.

To address this they are looking at a joined-up approach to the treatment of physical and mental health for children and young adults aged 5-20, bringing together CAMHS, Psychology, Paediatric and Neuro-Assessment departments.

Come and join us for our first ACN breakfast of 2024 as we discuss:

  • Design for health and well being in schools & medical settings

  • Meeting the needs of children & young people of varying ages & abilities

  • Facilitating future developments & innovation in education & healthcare settings

  • Connection to nature to improve health and learning outcomes
